Gmail is having points with spam and misclassification

In case your Gmail account doesn’t appear to be working correctly right this moment, you’re not alone.

The official status dashboard for Google Workspace means that the points started at round 5am Pacific on Saturday morning, with customers experiencing each “misclassification of emails of their inbox and extra spam warnings.”

For me, that meant my Main inbox was crammed with messages that might usually seem in the Promotions, Social, or Updates inboxes, and that spam warnings have been showing in emails from recognized senders.

Different customers have complained on social media that “all the spam is going directly to my inbox” and that Gmail’s filters appear “suddenly completely busted.”

“We are actively working to resolve the subject,” Google stated. “As all the time, we encourage customers to comply with normal greatest practices when participating with messages from unknown senders.”

TechCrunch has reached out to Google for extra remark.
