People should register and activate their Common Account Quantity (UAN) to entry the provident fund-related companies in the EPFO portal. A UAN is a 12-digit quantity for every worker contributing to the EPF (employees’ provident fund).
The UAN is essential to test their credit and debits to the PF account.
Steps to carry out UAN activation on UMANG
Step 1: Open the UMANG app and log in to your account.
Step 2: Enter ‘EPFO’ in the search bar and proceed to search.
Step 3: Scroll down to choose ‘UAN activation’ from the record of companies.
Step 4: Enter your UAN, title, date of delivery (DOB), cellular quantity and mail ID.
You can be required to carry out OTP verification.
Your UAN shall be activated and the password shall be despatched to your registered cellular quantity to arrange your EPF account.
